In Psalm 32:8 God himself is speaking and tell His people that He will instruct us and teach us the way to go. That is a promise that we can rest and rely upon. God is willing and desires for us to come to Him so He can lead us into the direction we are to go. God Himself has ordained and predestined our lives, so since He has predestined our lives and has the best planned out for us then we know or should know and believe that we can trust Him.

God also tell us He will guide us with His eye. To me that illustrates Gods will and His leading. We are on this journey and He is leading the way into our purposes. But God gives us a loving warning! He tells us not to be like the horse or the mule who have to be 'harnessed' with bit and bridle! If we do believe and follow our emotions or thoughts that are rooted in the flesh then God will do what he must do. If we turn our backs on God then He will handle us like these two animals and harness us to get our attention to draw us back to Him. Why? Because of the last verse, or else we won't come near Him.

You see everything God does is out of love. He wants for us to have a close relationship with Him, but if we engage in things that we shouldn't then He will get the bits and bridle's what ever it takes to get our attention. Samson is a good example. He chose to want to marry a Philistine woman( a practice God didn't approve of). What happened to his fiancé? She ended up marrying another man! Why? because God was pulling Samson out of this scenario so he can focus back on God's mission to make war with the Philistines!

So remember that God has plans for us and He desires to lead us! Even now in this season of confusion and vulnerability, lets follow Him! He is Faithful to trust!
